The Story Behind Nighthawk Inspections

Nighthawk Inspections was founded in 2013 with a straightforward belief: buyers, sellers, and homeowners deserve a clear, honest picture of the property they’re dealing with, delivered without alarm and without shortcuts.

In June 2023, Jeremy and Heather Hearn took ownership of the company, bringing a family-owned approach that’s personal, accountable, and rooted in real construction experience. Jeremy spent 25 years in the trades before becoming an inspector, which means when he explains what he’s seeing in a home, it comes from hands-on knowledge, not just a checklist.

Over the past decade, the Nighthawk team has completed thousands of inspections across Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Yuba, Sutter, and surrounding counties. That track record has built something that matters more than volume: trust. From first-time buyers to seasoned investors to real estate agents who refer us again and again, people come back because we show up the same way every time.

Jeremy and Jordan spent the time to inspect the house "head to toe". The issues they found were explained in detail in the report. Once the repairs were completed, we called back for a re-inspection with Jordan. Both Jeremy and Jordan were very punctual, friendly, professional and engaging. I appreciate the fact that, even though we were the seller, Jeremy and Jordan maintained their objectivity in the report. They were a referral from our realtor, Sandra and Ray Dare, who only hire/refer people they trust. Recommend 100%.
